This system can accept bundles weighing up to 8,800 lb and will load material until the saw program is complete or the saw is out of material. The gearbox is equipped with a hydraulic brake to remove backlash from the system.Īn integrated loading system is available that automatically loads round and square materials into the saw. The saw head is hydraulically driven and controlled via a servo feed system for precise feed rate control. The miter function is fully automatic and allows for multiple different angle cuts to be programmed within the same job. The m3 plasma system is automated by ESAB’s Vision T5 CNC, a Windows-based touch-screen control. Designed to cover large working areas and full-size sheets, the system can be equipped with up to four waterjet stations and can also carry up to two high-definition plasma stations, featuring ESAB’s m3 Precision Plasmarc system. The Hydrocut LX uses a heavy-duty gantry with a high-stiffness beam design featuring dual precision linear rails and precision rack-and pinion-drives. High-precision contours can be cut with waterjet, while non-critical contours can be cut with plasma. The CNC shape-cutting machine uses the combination of thermal and non-thermal processes operating on the same gantry, allowing the machine to cut with the high accuracy of waterjet where needed, but employ high-speed, low-cost plasma whenever possible.Ĭombining waterjet and plasma on the same machine allows both tools to be used on the same parts.
